The highway between Edmonton and Calgary is very straight and very flat. There’s a turn slight to the right around Red Deer and a little down and a little up a bit closer to Calgary. The fact that the prairie land is flat makes the sky seem unbelievably big, so most time is spent looking up and ahead, which is a good idea anyways.
The van got rocking at 130 and mastered the task well, even with a canoe on the roof. The reason for the canoe is a funlovingliving canoe camping trip planned for this weekend. We will be heading out to Revelstoke in British Columbia with some of our lovely friends and their two dogs. We’ll be spending the next three days canoeing, fishing and hopefully wildlife spotting. The tent is packed and we are excited to get out into the deep woods of BC!
