The boat dropped us off in Kristiansund, a beautifully city located on the Nordmøre coast. We quickly found the local favourite fish and chips hot spot and enjoyed it immensely.
In order to get out of town, we had to get on a bus. The ferry connecting the islands in which the city is located has been replaced by an underwater tunnel that is forbidden for bikers and pedestrians. Because of this, they have put bike racks on the buses to make it easy to transport bikes through the tunnel.
We got off at another island, Averøy. The first thing we did, was to replenish our water reserves. This was done in a classy car wash hall.
Then we started the bike ride on the spectacular Atlantic road (Atlanterhavsveien). It is a stretch of road connecting a row of seven little islands right by the open ocean. It has been voted the most beautiful drive in the world. I am not surprised.
Kyler wanted a picture of his Bud.
And I wanted a picture of my male.
The lighting was fabulous and the spot we found for our tent was perfect. We enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate before we went to bed. What a perfect day!
